Qure.ai raises $40 Million from healthcare investors Novo Holdings and HealthQuad

Qure.ai (Qure) one of the leading health tech firms using Artificial Intelligence (AI) for medical imaging diagnostics, today announced that it has secured $40 million in a funding round led by Novo Holdings and HealthQuad, supported by existing investor MassMutual Ventures. Mayo Clinic invests in Ratan Tata-backed cancer care platform Karkinos Healthcare

Hong Kong-based AI drug discovery firm Insilico closes $60M Series D

Insilico Medicine, a Hong Kong-based company that has been using artificial intelligence to discover new drugs since 2014, has completed a fresh round of funding. It�s a sign that certain investors are continuing to bet on emerging biotechnologies � which often take longer to prove profitability compared to other verticals � at a time venture funding is cooling. Insilico raised $60 million from new Series D financing from investors, including its existing shareholders Warburg Pincus, B Capital, Qiming Venture Partners, BOLD Capital Partners, Pavilion Capital and new investors, an undisclosed �large, diversified asset management firm on the West Coast of the US� and BHR Investment.

French AI biotech startup Owkin gets $80-million shot from Bristol Myers Squibb

Parisian AI biotech unicorn Owkin has brought in $80 million as it partners with the US-based pharmaceutical giant Bristol Myers Squibb on drugs trials. The new partnership could be transformational for patient outcomes and scientific progress, making machine learning solutions an integral part of the clinical trial process. The $80 million will be split between a Series B-1 equity round, led by Bristol Myers Squibb, and up-front fees for clinical trials for cardiovascular drugs using Owkin's technology.
