Ampersand today announces Innovate UK grant win to develop digital therapy solutions for people with Rheumatoid Arthritis

The UK government today announced that 800 innovative businesses and start-ups – including Ampersand Health – are set to benefit from a £40 million investment to drive forward new technological advances, particularly as a response to the Covid19 outbreak. The Innovate UK funding will allow the company and its partners – including the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society – to invest in and evidence similar new behavioural medicines for people living with inflammatory arthritis.

Swedish company is awarded prestigious grant

In strong competition GAEU’s client Vicore Pharma Holding AB (publ) was awarded £ 1.5 million by the British charity LifeArc for a COVID-19 Phase II study with the drug candidate VP01. The study, named ATTRACT (Angiotensin II Type Two Receptor Agonist COVID-19 Trial), is targeting hospitalized patients treated with basic respiratory care, but not yet on mechanical ventilation. In close cooperation between the GAEU’s and Vicore’s team, the winning application was written in record time.
