The initiative has earned £325,000 funding led by Europe-wide investor Seedcamp – taking its total to date to £575,000 – to support its public launch in 2021. This followed investment of £250,000 from various angel backers including Roger Hassan, the COO at Tier Mobility and Stephen Bourke, co-founder of Echo Pharmacy which was acquired by McKesson in 2019.

German startup HelloBetter raises seed funding for online psychology trainings, wants to democratise mental health treatment

Berlin-based healthtech startup HelloBetter has announced a seed round in the “single-digit million range”. The name of the lead investor was also withheld, named only as a “holding company based in Hamburg”. Other investors included Munich’s Ideamed Gesundheitsgruppe (a psychotherapeutic hospital operator), and a group of business angels from the health and insurance sectors.

Fruit Street Health, a startup offering a virtual diabetes prevention program, raised $17 million in funding. Rather than turning to venture capitalists, the digital health startup has focused its efforts on raising funds from physicians, with more than 300 investing in the company. The company is now valued at $55 million.

Zhiyun Health Raises USD144million in Series C+, D rounds

Chinese digital healthcare service platform Zhiyun Health has raised a total USD144million in series C+ and series D financing round. The two rounds were led by CMB International and SIG Asia Investment from the participation of OP Financial and South Korean investment firm LB Investment. The company will use fresh capital to speed up the development of health data collection and analysis, as well as the development of a healthcare service powered by the artificial intelligence.
