Cognito Therapeutics Presents Early-Stage Cost-Effectiveness Analysis of Spectris™ Therapy in Alzheimer’s Disease at ISPOR 2024
Cognito Therapeutics presented an early-stage cost-effectiveness analysis of its Spectris™ therapy for Alzheimer’s disease (AD) at the ISPOR Europe 2024 Annual Meeting. The analysis, based on data from the Phase II OVERTURE study, highlighted Spectris as a potentially cost-effective, non-invasive treatment option for AD. The therapy, which uses visual and auditory stimulation to improve brain function, demonstrated a 77% reduction in functional decline compared to a placebo group. The model showed that Spectris could be economically viable at an acquisition cost between $44,000 and $108,000, offering potential savings by reducing long-term care costs and improving patient outcomes. Cognito’s ongoing HOPE trial will provide further data to support Spectris's role in AD treatment.
