Study Compares Nerivio to Standard Care Medications for Acute Treatment of Migraine in Adolescents

Theranica, a prescribed digital therapeutics company developing advanced electroceuticals for migraine and other pain conditions, announced the publication of a study in Pain Medicine that compared adolescent response to migraine medications to their response to Remote Electrical Neuromodulation (REN) administered by Nerivio®. The study found statistically significant differences in post 2-hour pain freedom and pain relief outcomes, in favor of REN (Nerivio). It also found an increase in pain relief for patients who used Nerivio.

Pear Therapeutics Announces Publication of Healthcare Resource Utilization Data Analysis Showing Real-World Cost Impact of reSET-O® in Treating Opioid Use Disorder

Pear Therapeutics, Inc., today announced publication of a new analysis demonstrating the real-world cost impact of reSET-O®, the first and only FDA-authorized Prescription Digital Therapeutic (PDT) for the treatment of opioid use disorder (OUD). The real-world retrospective analysis, published in the peer-reviewed journal Hospital Practice, showed a substantial reduction in medical costs of -$2,385 per patient over 6 months in patients who engaged with reSET-O1. In comparison, patients who did not redeem/engage with reSET-O beyond week 1 had a net cost increase of $353.80 per patient during the same time period.

Digital MSK therapy tool Kaia gives equally reliable exercise recommendations as physiotherapists, study finds

A new study published by JMIR found that the digital physical therapy tool Kaia was able to suggest exercise corrections with comparable accuracy to a physiotherapist. Participants in the study used Kaia’s app, formerly called Motion Coach, which includes automated, real-time exercise feedback that is tracked with the user’s smartphone camera or tablet. The small study examined the corrections and exercise suggestions that the app gave patients against physiotherapists' evaluations.

Pear Therapeutics Announces Publication Of Cost-Utility Data Showing Quality Of Life And Cost Reduction With reSET-O

Pear Therapeutics, Inc., today announced publication of a cost-utility model evaluating the cost impact and treatment retention effectiveness of reSET-O®. In the study, a third-party payer-perspective decision analytic model evaluated the cost-effectiveness of reSET-O relative to treatment-as-usual (TAU – transmucosal buprenorphine, face-to-face counseling and contingency management) alone over 12 weeks. Results of this model showed population-level gains in quality-adjusted life years at a lower cost with reSET-O treatment vs TAU alone. In addition to clinical value, these results show the limited economic risk of reSET-O as an adjunct to TAU.
