Tandem Diabetes Care and TypeZero Technologies Announce License Agreement to Accelerate Development and Commercialization of Closed-Loop Artificial Pancreas System

Tandem Diabetes Care, a medical device company and manufacturer of a family of innovative touchscreen insulin pumps, and TypeZero Technologies, LLC, a digital health and personalized medicine company, today announced that they have entered into a License Agreement allowing Tandem to integrate TypeZero's artificial pancreas technology into a next-generation t:slim Insulin Pump.

LabStyle Innovations Corp. Executes Distribution Partnership with GEMCO Medical

LabStyle Innovations Corp., developer of the Dario™ Blood Glucose Monitoring System, announced today that it has signed an agreement with GEMCO Medical, an established healthcare distributor and a pioneer in the diabetes supply industry, to become the first authorized U.S. distributor of Dario. ARKRAY has signed an exclusive contract with LG Life Sciences, a pharmaceutical company in Korea to provide blood glucose meters to Korea. Tandem Diabetes Care® Announces Expanded Pediatric Indication of t:slim® Insulin Pump for Ages 6 and Older

Tandem Diabetes Care®, Inc. (NASDAQ: TNDM), a medical device company and the manufacturer of the t:slim®, t:slim G4™ and t:flex® Insulin Pumps, today announced FDA clearance of an expanded pediatric indication for the t:slim® Insulin Pump, lowering its use to children age 6 and older from children age 12 and older. The t:slim Pump is the first and only touchscreen insulin pump cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. This expanded pediatric indication applies to the current t:slim Pump features, with no changes to the existing user interface.

Tandem Diabetes Care Reports Second Quarter 2016 Financial Results, Updates 2016 Guidance and Announces New t:slim X2™ Insulin Pump and Associated Technology Upgrade Program

Tandem Diabetes Care®, Inc. (NASDAQ: TNDM), a medical device company and manufacturer of the t:slim®, t:slim G4™ and t:flex® Insulin Pumps, today reported its financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2016 and updated its financial guidance for the year ending December 31, 2016. Sales grew 46 percent to $23.0 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2016 compared to $15.7 million for the same period of 2015. Pump shipments grew 38 percent to 4,582 for the second quarter of 2016 compared to 3,331 pumps shipped in the same period of 2015.

AstraZeneca expands support program Fit2Me with apps, new tools for cardiovascular health

Pharma company AstraZeneca , which offers a program called Fit2Me that provides diet and lifestyle support for patients with diabetes, is now expanding its offering to include patients with risks for cardiovascular disease. The program is also now available via an iOS and Android app, which has only been the case since the end of June. The customizable program focuses on four key areas of type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease management – food, activity, support team and treatment support. Motivation comes from digital coaches.
