Flatiron Health Expands Technology Partnerships with Oncology Care Model Practices

Flatiron Health today announced expanded partnerships with some of the nation’s largest independent community oncology practices using the first EHR-embedded technology solution for the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation’s (CMMI) Oncology Care Model (OCM). Approximately one-third of all OCM practices use Flatiron’s technology to adapt to the rapidly-changing requirements of value-based care programs for which practices commit to providing enhanced services to patients, such as care coordination, navigation and the use of national treatment guidelines.

Turku University Hospital implements Kaiku Health for their late-effect follow-up of childhood cancer

Finnish digital health company Netmedi has begun cooperation with Turku University Hospital (Tyks) Cancer Center’s late-effect follow-up clinic. Kaiku Health web application will be used to systematically collect data about current state of health and quality of life, as well as any possible late adverse events in patients that have undergone cancer treatment during childhood or adolescence. The collected data will also be used to analyze future medical research needs.

Surrey RCMP signs up for anti-skin cancer technology

Surrey’s RCMP officers and staff can use now the DermEngine skin-screening platform created by Simon Fraser University alumna Maryam Sadeghi. Sadeghi’s company, MetaOptima Technology Inc., has been awarded a contract for DermEngine’s voluntary use by Surrey RCMP employees for remote skin screening when working outdoors.
