Humana rolls out virtual diabetes program for Kentucky Medicaid patients

Digital health startup Vida Health struck its first partnership with a Medicaid plan. Humana will offer Vida’s virtual diabetes management program to its Medicaid members in Kentucky starting next year. Vida’s programs offer access to health coaches and licensed therapists. It also has an app that users can link with a connected scale, glucometer and fitness tracker.

WPS Health Insurance Selects Welldoc to Offer New Digital Health Management Solution

WPS Health Insurance and WPS Health Plan selected Welldoc®, a trailblazer in digital health, to offer a new, comprehensive chronic conditions digital health solution to a pilot group of self-funded employers in Wisconsin and Illinois. The new offering will first be available as a pilot to self-funded employer-provided health plan customers, also known as Administrative Service Only (ASO), and later will be offered to other WPS Health Insurance and WPS Health Plan members.

CVS Health adds Vida Health to its Point Solutions Management solution

Vida has been selected to be a part of CVS Health's Point Solutions Management service. Specifically, CVS will be allowing its Caremark pharmacy benefit management (PBM) employer and health plan clients to offer Vida's Weight Loss+ program to their customers as part of a benefits package.

Liva is partnering with Bupa to deliver digital health coaching in Australia

Bupa customers with type 2 diabetes and those struggling to manage their weight, cholesterol or blood pressure are invited to take part in a new pilot that harnesses the convenience of video and text messaging. The trial, developed in partnership with Liva Healthcare will give participants access to their own Bupa dietitian health coach who will provide personalised support through a dedicated customer supporting app that can track biometric data such as sleep and steps.

HanseMerkur and Diamontech plan strategic cooperation in the field of non-invasive blood glucose measurement for diabetics and prediabetics.

To this end, DiaMonTech will make the newly developed devices for non-invasive blood sugar measurement available to HanseMerkur policyholders. The first model projects for non-invasive blood sugar measurement in insulin-dependent diabetics are already planned for 2021.
