Swiss multicentre study to investigate the effect of ePRO-based model of care on early detection and management of immune-related adverse events

Kaiku Health is taking part in a study assessing the use of an electronic Patient-Reported Outcome (ePRO)-based model of care to evaluate onset of symptomatic immune-related adverse events in cancer patients and their detection by healthcare providers. This phase-II randomised controlled trial, comparing the ePRO-based model of care to the current standard model of care, is conducted at the Geneva University Hospitals and Lausanne University Hospital, Switzerland.

Sidekick Health and Eli Lilly partner on digital therapeutics for breast cancer

Sidekick Health today announced a collaboration on an integrated digital therapeutics solution in conjunction with Eli Lilly (NYSE:LLY). The collaboration between the companies will mark the first phase of a relationship between Sidekick and Lilly, which starts with a digital therapeutic offering for patients battling breast cancer. The first phase will consist of the integrated digital therapeutic offering rollout in Germany. Reykjavik, Iceland-based Sidekick said the further expansion of its portfolio of digital therapeutics into the treatment of breast cancer will be tailored to support the needs of patients within Lilly’s oncology treatment programs.

First-of-its-kind partnership provides free access to digital mental health treatments for all newly diagnosed cancer patients in the United Kingdom

Newly diagnosed cancer patients across the United Kingdom (UK) are now able to easily access innovative and effective treatments to support their mental health thanks to a new partnership between Macmillan Cancer Support and digital therapeutics company Big Health, makers of Sleepio and Daylight. The partnership between Macmillan and Big Health will provide newly diagnosed cancer patients aged 18 and older residing in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland free access to Sleepio for insomnia and Daylight for anxiety to manage their mental health needs.

Durham VA Health Care System and Blue Note Therapeutics Commence Phase 2 Study of Prescription Digital Therapeutic to Address Cancer-Related Distress

On August 2, 2021, the Durham Veterans Affairs (VA) Health Care System and Blue Note Therapeutics announced a partnership to address cancer-related distress in veterans. With approximately 40,000 veterans diagnosed with cancer each year, and nearly all experiencing some form of distress, there is an immediate opportunity to improve and expand access to quality mental health care for veterans living with cancer. The partnership includes a clinical study of a prescription digital therapeutic (PDT) created specifically for patients suffering from cancer-related distress. The Phase 2 study will assess the feasibility, ease of clinical implementation, and preliminary efficacy of BNT001, Blue Note’s lead PDT candidate.

Blue Note Therapeutics Raises $5.2M in Additional Series A Funding

Blue Note Therapeutics raised an additional $5.2 million in Series A financing, bringing the company’s Series A financing to a total of $31 million. The financing was provided by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) and Alumni Ventures who joined Series A lead investors JAZZ Venture Partners and Summer VC.
