FDA clears AI-enabled MR tech from Philips

Philips (NYSE:PHG) announced today that it received FDA 510(k) clearance for its AI-enabled MRCAT head and neck radiotherapy application. Amsterdam-based Philips designed its MRCAT head and neck application to allow for the use of MR as the sole or primary imaging modality for radiotherapy planning. It is used for the treatment of soft tissue tumors in the head and neck, along with the brain, pelvis and prostate.

GAIA's Project NEVERMIND Becomes a Success Story

GAIA’s research project „Nevermind“ is published in the official „Success Story Yearbook 2020“ as one of nine EU funded projects related to digital technologies. The yearbook is released by The National Contact Point for European Research Funding on Information and Communication Technologies (NKS-IKT). In the project „Nevermind“ GAIA explored together with outstanding partners in Europe – such as the Karolinska Institut – how a digital health application can be integrated with smart-sensor technology to detect and treat depression among patients with diseases such as heart disease, cancer, or kidney failure. The research was based on GAIA’s app deprexis® and a smart shirt.
