Happify Health, the pioneer in combining evidence-based emotional health interventions with engagement and gaming technology, announced today a $9 million funding round led by TT Capital Partners (“TTCP”) with participation from existing investors. This investment will allow Happify Health to continue the expansion of its digital platform that provides clinically tested, highly personalized behavior change interventions for use across the emotional health continuum.
Behavioral health technology company AbleTo secured $36.6 million in financing last week, led by Bain Capital Ventures, and all of its existing investors -- 406 Ventures, Sandbox Industries, HLM Venture Partners, and Horizon Healthcare Services -- participated in the Series B round as well. Strategic investor Aetna also chipped in. With the fresh investment, AbleTo plans on turbocharging the scale of its business operations, targeting a goal of treating millions of people with behavioral health conditions.
UK-based Ieso Digital Health, a platform for online mental healthcare, has raised £18 million in funding led by Draper Esprit and Touchstone Innovations. The new funds will be used to continue its growth in the UK and expand into the US market as well as invest in therapist education and training.
Switzerland-based human computing interfaces startup MindMaze has attracted an investment from none other than Leonardo DiCaprio, who is also joining the company’s board of advisers. The investment is being made as part of a new round of funding that hasn’t closed, and the amount of money DiCaprio is investing wasn’t revealed as part of the announcement.

The document is a Form D filing submitted to the US Securities and Exchange Commission by Hygieia. According to the filing, Hygieia has raised $835,000 USD in debt financing from an undisclosed group of investors. The funds will be used to support the company's growth and expansion efforts.
Woebot Labs, a mental health artificial intelligence platform, just landed $8 million in Series A funding with New Enterprise Associates leading and Andrew Ng’s AI Fund participating. The new app, which launched in February, is a cross between a therapist and a friend. Woebot customers can use the messaging function on the app—just like using Google Hangouts or Apple's iMessage, but instead of a person at the other end of the messages, it's an artificial intelligence programmed to help users talk through their mental health using cognitive behavioral therapy principles.
Mumbai-based digital therapeutics healthtech, Wellthy Therapeutics, has raised $2.1 Mn in Seed funding from Dr. Ranjan Pai’s family office MEMG (Manipal Education and Medical Group), along with Beenext Ventures, GrowX Ventures, Currae Healthcare and other strategic HNIs like Ashutosh Taparia and Karan Bhagat. Wellthy Therapeutics will be using the funding to enhance the efficacy of its type II diabetes digital therapeutic services while developing solutions for other disease areas and build deeper integrations with healthcare stakeholders across South Asia and Asia. A portion of the funding will also be utilised to expand Wellthy Therapeutics’ team.
Israeli mobile health app startup Hello Heart has raised $9 million in a financing round led by BlueRun Ventures and with the participation of Maven Ventures, Resolute ventures and WTI. The company plans on using the new funds to expand sales operations in the US while at the same time it is, "about to enter new verticals in the health app market such as diabetes and apply artificial intelligence technologies to improve clinical results."
