The mySugr package – now also on prescription from AOK Bayern

In Bavaria, the all-round diabetes care in the form of the mySugr package for type 1 diabetics is now being rolled out regionally via AOK physician networks. When ordering the package, eligible policyholders can also choose between the Accu-Chek Guide and Contour Next One blood glucose meters.

TK Offers mySugr for Free to Its Members

According to Roche Diabetes Care, more than three million people worldwide are already using the mySugr diabetes management app to document and analyze their therapy data. The company has now announced that policyholders of Techniker Krankenkasse (TK) can now use this digital alternative to the handwritten diary for one year free of charge. After activating mySugr PRO , the full version of the app can be used for a period of 12 months.

Noom, Roche Diagnostics to improve diabetes patient’s lifestyle

Noom and Roche Diagnostics Korea said Thursday that they are recruiting 60 diabetes patients to participate in their lifestyle improvement program. Participants will receive the Accu-Chek Personal Blood Glucose Monitoring System of Roche Diagnostics Korea and Noom Coach, a mobile diabetes management program developed by Noom, for 12 weeks.

Roche Diabetes Care Partners with OurPath

Roche Diabetes Care has signed a partnership agreement with OurPath to roll its lifestyle management programme out to consumers across the UK and Ireland. OurPath, the health technology start-up, was founded by two Oxbridge graduates to help people live more healthy lives and prevent or reduce symptoms of type 2 diabetes. Until now the OurPath programme has only been available on a small scale through its website and in NHS trials through GP surgeries in London. Roche Diabetes Care will be hiring and training OurPath health coaches, as well as marketing the programme across the country.

Roche partners to create holistic ecosystem of care for diabetics

Roche Diabetes Care (RDC) India recently entered into strategic alliance with Indian partners such as Phable, Wellthy Therapeutics and PharmEasy for integrated Personalised Diabetes Management (iPDM) solutions. Through its partnership with Phable, women with GDM using Accu-Chek meters will now have access to a healthcare practitioner (HCP) to monitor their diabetes closely and make necessary therapy titrations via the PhableCare app. Renewing its existing partnership with Wellthy Therapeutics, the company is now offering its Accu-Chek Active users remote access to personalised coaching and diabetes management plans. Through the partnership with PharmEasy, RDC India has enhanced customer service by addressing key customer pain points.

Roche inks deal with Diabeloop to integrate automated insulin delivery

Swiss pharma company Roche’s insulin pump will be the next to support automated insulin delivery thanks to a partnership with French AI company Diabeloop. As part of the deal, users will be able to integrate Roche’s Accu-Chek Insights insulin pump with the Diabeloop monitoring system. This integration would result in a hybrid closed-loop system – a system designed to take the pressure off the patient to dose glucose, instead relying on an algorithm.
