Joslin, Glooko add activity tracker data to their HypoMap diabetes management system

Diabetes management technology company Glooko, which made its name with a universal cord and app for connecting glucometers to smartphones, introduced a feature today which lets patients feed activity data into its population health management software , the Glooko-Joslin HypoMap system . Currently, the graph takes in data from Fitbit, Jawbone, Withings, and iHealth devices (among others) as well as free apps like Moves and Runkeeper.

Samsung reveals 24 digital health partners including Aetna, Cigna, Humana, WellDoc

At the Samsung Developer Conference this week in San Francisco, the South Korean consumer electronics giant revealed much more about its digital health plans, including the names of 24 partners it has been working with -- a dozen commercial partners and a dozen research partners. Samsung's commercial partners for digital health currently include Nike, Aetna, Cigna, Cleveland Clinic, dacadoo, Edamam, Humana, Fitbug, Lark, Merck, Preventice, Skimble, WellDoc, and Your.MD.

Diabetes management startup Rimidi running RCT with California ACO

Atlanta-based rimidi is piloting its diabetes management and population health software Diabetes+Me in a 129-patient randomized control trial (RCT) with Heritage California ACO , a pioneer accountable care organization. The platform, which includes a mobile device-based patient engagement component, will be vetted for both its ability to lower A1C levels and for softer metrics like patient engagement and the patients' education level about their diabetes. Patients are supplied with a mobile app that can be paired with connected glucometers like those from Telcare and iHealth.

BD Announces Results For 2014 Fourth Fiscal Quarter And Full Year; Provides Fiscal 2015 Guidance

BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) (NYSE: BDX), a leading global medical technology company, today reported quarterly revenues of $2.202 billion for the fourth fiscal quarter ended September 30, 2014, representing an increase of 4.8 percent from the prior-year period, or 4.6 percent on a foreign currency-neutral basis. Insulet Reports Third Quarter 2014 Results

Insulet Corporation (NASDAQ: PODD), the leader in tubeless insulin pump technology with its OmniPod® Insulin Management System, today announced financial results for the three and nine months ended September 30, 2014. Third quarter 2014 revenue increased 23% to $75.0 million, compared to $61.1 million in the third quarter of 2013. Gross profit for the third quarter of 2014 rose 39% to $38.0 million from $27.4 million for the third quarter of 2013.
