CVS Health kicks off digital health-friendly service for PBM clients with Big Health’s Sleepio

CVS Health unveiled Vendor Benefit Management, a new service that will help CVS Caremark pharmacy benefit management (PBM) clients roll out and manage third-party health products. As the service is applicable to both digital and non-digital health and wellness products, the company has decided to inaugurate its initiative by announcing Big Health — maker of the CBT-based sleep app Sleepio — as the first vendor participating in the service.

ATENTIV, Children's Specialized Hospital look to infuse digital behavioral therapy into primary care

ATENTIV, maker of a video game-based intervention for ADHD, has partnered with Children’s Specialized Hospital’s Center for Discovery, Innovation and Development (CDID) to explore a novel care model blending both behavioral and primary care. Of particular note, ATENTIV and CDID, part of the RWJBarnabas Health system in New Jersey, will be investigating how to deploy the therapy, called ATENTIVmynd, to young patients via a primary care clinician during the new 10-year partnership. ATENTIVmynd is a brain computer interface (BCI) therapy combining a headband with mounted dry EEG sensors and a tablet-based game.
