DarioHealth to Offer Diabetes Content and Coaching to Patients in Canada in Collaboration With LMC Healthcare

DarioHealth announced today that Toronto-based LMC Healthcare, Canada's largest specialist care provider in diabetes and endocrinology, will work with Dario who will provide digital content and coaching services across Canada for patients with diabetes. To power the Dario Digital Content and Coaching offering, LMC will have dedicated diabetes coaches who will leverage the DarioEngage platform to communicate with patients. The full suite of DarioEngage features will be made available to all DarioHealth consumers across Canada.

Propeller Health and Express Scripts Partnership Offers Innovative Digital Respiratory Care to Improve Health for People with Asthma or COPD

Today, Propeller Health and Express Scripts announced a strategic partnership to provide Propeller’s FDA-cleared digital solution to Express Scripts members using inhaler sensors and a mobile app to manage asthma or COPD. This collaboration is the largest respiratory digital health deployment with a pharmacy benefit manager to date. Express Scripts members who participated in an early-stage version of this solution saw an 80 percent reduction in average rescue events per day and a significant improvement in adherence to their asthma controller medication.

DarioHealth Announces Strategic Partnership with CCS Medical

DarioHealth today announced that it has entered into a strategic agreement with CCS Medical and their LivingConnected clinical program. Through this strategic agreement and proprietary API, DarioHealth is partnering with CCS Medical by providing live data access to CCS Medical for patients that join the LivingConnected clinical program using the DarioHealth native smartphone app. In addition, CCS Medical will take an active role in the DarioHealth Insurance Provider Network, thereby further growing DarioHealth's expansion into the insurance reimbursement option launched earlier this year.

California hospital becomes first in US to prescribe ingestible sensors from Proteus

Redwood City, California-based Proteus Digital Health announced its first US healthcare provider customer, Barton Health, which will prescribe the company's Proteus Discover to patients. The company says this is the first time its technology has been implemented outside of a clinical trial setting in the US. Barton Health, a health system in Lake Tahoe, California, will use the medication adherence platform, which includes Proteus’s FDA-cleared ingestible sensor, in populations with uncontrolled and co-morbid hypertension. Implementation for other chronic conditions will follow if the first use case goes well.

Digital deals: Omada,GSK-Verily, Excellus BCBS-Wellframe and more

San Francisco-based Omada Health, an online and mobile behavioral medicine company, announced today a partnership with the American Medical Association and a new customer, Utah-based Intermountain Healthcare system, which will offer Omada’s flagship diabetes prevention program (DPP), Prevent, to its patients. The initiative will combine the AMA’s efforts to raise prediabetes awareness nationally and Intermountain’s population health strategies by using Omada’s Prevent program. Doctors and care teams will be able to refer patients to, and monitor their progress through the online and app-based program.
