Children’s Community Health Plan Offers Freespira´s digital therapeutic treatment for panic attacks, panic disorder, and PTSD

Children’s Community Health Plan (CCHP) has partnered with Freespira, Inc., the maker of the first FDA-cleared digital therapeutic to significantly reduce or eliminate symptoms of panic attacks, panic disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder. CCHP, an affiliate of Children’s Wisconsin, is an HMO dedicated to providing access to the highest quality health care and services to members living in Wisconsin. Freespira is now available to all of CCHP’s members, including Medicaid patients, making it the first health plan to offer this new digital treatment in Wisconsin.

Significant Reductions in Panic Disorder and PTSD Symptoms Prompt Children’s Community Health Plan to Expand Access to Freespira

Freespira, Inc., maker of the first FDA-cleared digital therapeutic to significantly reduce or eliminate symptoms of panic attacks, panic disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in only 28 days, today announced that Children’s Community Health Plan (CCHP) has extended its partnership with the company. Under the expansion, Freespira will continue its outreach to CCHP members diagnosed with these debilitating conditions, and also begin outreach to members that Freespira identifies as likely having undiagnosed and untreated panic disorder or PTSD symptoms. When CCHP began its partnership with Freespira in February 2021, the teams launched broad communication to members and providers to create awareness and ensure high engagement and adoption of the 28-day, at-home treatment.

Blue Cross and Blue Shield Companies Partner with Onduo on Three State Pilot Programs to Address Diabetes

The Blue Cross Blue Shield Association (BCBSA) has partnered with Onduo by Verily (an Alphabet Company) and Sanofi, on a pilot program that will provide eligible members with access to personalized and convenient diabetes care. The pilot is designed to measure type 2 diabetes outcomes including those relating to clinical improvement, cost and member experience. Pilots will begin in the first quarter of 2018 in Arkansas, Georgia and South Carolina with select Blue Cross and Blue Shield (BCBS) members who are eligible.

Gothaer Bears the Costs for mySugr

The digital health company mySugr announces a new cooperation agreement with a German health insurance provider Gothaer. After Versicherungskammer Bayern, Union Krankenversicherung and Barmenia Krankenversicherung, the costs for the mySugr package will now also be reduced by up to 100 percent for customers of Gothaer Krankenversicherung AG reimbursed as part of their insurance coverage.

TK Offers mySugr for Free to Its Members

According to Roche Diabetes Care, more than three million people worldwide are already using the mySugr diabetes management app to document and analyze their therapy data. The company has now announced that policyholders of Techniker Krankenkasse (TK) can now use this digital alternative to the handwritten diary for one year free of charge. After activating mySugr PRO , the full version of the app can be used for a period of 12 months.
